Welcome to The Richmond Environmental Information Centre
The objects of the Richmond Environmental Information Centre - REIC are:
- To advance the education of the public in ecology, environmental studies, resource conservation and natural history.
- To promote the conservation, protection and restoration for the public benefit of the natural resources, natural beauty and animal and plant life of Richmond upon Thames and the world, and the lands and buildings of historic interest or of ecological or scientific importance.
In 1983 the REIC developed a vision for the provision and application of environmental information within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
This tradition has been maintained, by providing public access to this information at the River Thames Visitor Centre - RTVC on Richmond upon Thames’s beautiful riverside and its plan for future projects.
We continue to enhance this information, its usage and ideas for new conservation initiatives.
